Gov. Tulafono has recently created the Economic Stimulus and Recovery Office. The office, which will be an agency within the Office of the Governor, will serve as the liaison between federal agencies and local departments, coordinate all certifications and projects, and ensure the implementation and transparency of stimulus-related items.

The governor also put together a special stimulus team to oversee the spending. This team is headed up by Federal Grants Manager Pat Galea'i. It is unclear if this team of people will also be staffing the newly created Economic Stimulus and Recovery Office.
